Clare Billings
About
Clare (she/they) is a Clinical Psychologist who loves supporting clients to learn more about themselves and how their brain works, so that they can look after themselves and advocate for what they need from others.
She has a special interest in supporting neurodivergent clients through the perinatal period (fertility, preconception, pregnancy, post-partum, parenting and beyond). Clare recognises that there can be a lot of change, uncertainty and information/sensory overload during these times and can help clients to better understand and accommodate their sensory, social and communication-related needs to navigate these transitions with greater ease.
approach
Clare takes a neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and self-compassion-based approach. She values and affirms all aspects of a person’s identity and has particular expertise in supporting diversity in sex, gender, sexuality, and relationship structures.
Their therapeutic work draws on evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), always adapted to each client’s unique needs and preferences. Clare hopes to foster a space where clients can safely unmask, feel understood, and be themselves, and she welcomes feedback or suggestions to make sessions more accessible.
