about neudle

What is Neudle Psychology?

Neudle is a young, neurodivergent-led psychology practice, that specialises in neurodiversity-affirming support. We do things differently, and we're leaders in the neurodiversity movement.

Neudle is a safe and supportive environment for neurodivergent people who are seeking mental health support. Our highly-trained, neurodiversity-affirming team specialises in therapeutic assessment and support for neurodivergent people.

What is neurodiversity-affirming?

At Neudle, everything we do is neurodiversity-affirming and is approached from our own neurodivergent lived-experience perspective. This means that we don't view neurodivergence as a disorder, rather we recognise ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent conditions as natural differences that require appropriate acknowledgement and support.

We understand that neurodivergent people are not broken and do not need to be fixed, but may benefit from mental health services to cope with the stresses and challenges of living as a neurodivergent person in a neurotypical world. Our neurodiversity-affirming care focuses on understanding your unique strengths, recognising appropriate support strategies, and adapting to meet your specific needs.

Neurodiversity-affirming therapy validates your feelings, recognises your triggers, and helps to identify and implement helpful strategies. We seek to cultivate self-advocacy and problem-solving skills, and teach you to better understand the emotions, behaviours, and communication of yourself and others. Our therapy does not seek to eliminate stimming behaviours, promote masking, or develop goals that aim to cure neurodivergent behaviours.

Neudle's affirming approach can safely and appropriately help you understand your neurodivergence to work with your mind instead of against it.

What does Neudle do?

Neudle supports neurodiversity.

We offer a range of neurodiversity-affirming psychological services, including individual therapy, group therapy, and therapeutic assessments. Our psychologists have experience working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, and we pride ourselves on providing personalised and affirming support to all of our clients.

At Neudle, we believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality and affirming mental health care, and we strive to create a safe and welcoming space for individuals of all backgrounds. Our team of psychologists is committed to staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field of psychology, and we approach every client with empathy, understanding, and respect.

Our values are centred around diversity, inclusivity, and support:

Doing Good (Beneficence)
Everything we do is intended to put more good out in the world.

Not Harming (Trauma-Informed)
All our work is done with a deep appreciation of neurodivergent trauma. Our trauma-informed principles are safety, trust, choice, collaboration, empowerment, and diversity.

Speaking Out (Advocacy)
We speak out to advocate for the rights of neurodivergent people. Transformation (innovation). We innovate. We challenge long-standing traditions that do not serve, or harm neurodivergent people. We provide an alternative.

Realness (Authenticity)
We show up. We celebrate who we are, and honour our right to exist.

Why Neudle?

Neudle is more than just a psychology clinic, we are revolutionising the way neurodivergent healthcare is approached. We recognise the pain and hardship that can come with being neurodivergent and not having access to the right support. We strive to raise awareness for neurodiversity, inspire others to be well, and promote the potential of the neurodiversity movement through a lived experience perspective.

We believe that our commitment to neurodiversity-affirming practices can offer a legitimate and better alternative to the traditional medical model. Our innovative vision is to transform individuals, systems, and societies by promoting a deeper understanding of neurodiversity.
