about neudle

What is Neudle Psychology?

Neudle is a young, neurodivergent-led psychology practice, that specialises in neurodiversity-affirming support. We do things differently, and we're leaders in the neurodiversity movement.

Neudle is a safe and supportive environment for neurodivergent people who are seeking mental health support. Our highly-trained, neurodiversity-affirming team specialises in therapeutic assessment and support for neurodivergent people.

What is neurodiversity-affirming?

At Neudle, everything we do is neurodiversity-affirming and is approached from our own neurodivergent lived-experience perspective. This means that we don't view neurodivergence as a disorder, rather we recognise ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent conditions as natural differences that require appropriate acknowledgement and support.

We understand that neurodivergent people are not broken and do not need to be fixed, but may benefit from mental health services to cope with the stresses and challenges of living as a neurodivergent person in a neurotypical world. Our neurodiversity-affirming care focuses on understanding your unique strengths, recognising appropriate support strategies, and adapting to meet your specific needs.

Neurodiversity-affirming therapy validates your feelings, recognises your triggers, and helps to identify and implement helpful strategies. We seek to cultivate self-advocacy and problem-solving skills, and teach you to better understand the emotions, behaviours, and communication of yourself and others. Our therapy does not seek to eliminate stimming behaviours, promote masking, or develop goals that aim to cure neurodivergent behaviours.

Neudle's affirming approach can safely and appropriately help you understand your neurodivergence to work with your mind instead of against it.

We speak out to advocate for the rights of neurodivergent people. Transformation (innovation). We innovate. We challenge long-standing traditions that do not serve, or harm neurodivergent people. We provide an alternative.

We show up. We celebrate who we are, and honour our right to exist.
